While the common holly keeps its vibrant, green leaves throughout the winter season, the winterberry bush sheds its leaves during the fall, allowing its ruby-red berries to take the spotlight. In addition to livening up typically monochromatic winter landscapes, this shrub is a wonderful source of food for many birds and mammals.
Materials
